$10 (includes new issue of mag, bands, fun, etc.)
The next issue of Spacing is coming back from the printer very soon and we couldn't be more excited. The theme of our upcoming issue is The History Of Our Future. Our writers contemplate the city Toronto could've been and the place it could become. Articles focus on such topics as: the highways planned throughout the downtown and midtown parts of Toronto; hooking up a sound system to the CN Tower; turning the SkyDome into a sustainable housing community; the other ideas submitted in the 1950s for the New City Hall; enclosed and elevated bike paths all over the city; and the waterfront urbanism success of the Port Lands in 2043. This issue will also see the release of a joint report with the Toronto Public Space Committee on the chaotic state of managing Toronto billboards. Our contributors include Jim Munroe, Darren O'Donnell, Toronto's poet laureate Pier Giorgio DiCicco, Ed Keenan, Sam Javanrouh, Rannie Turingan, Gayla Trail, Davin Risk, Matt O'Sullivan, Nathalie Atkinson, Marc Ngui, Michelle Kasprzak, Julia Breckenreid, and a plethora of amazing images supplied from the Toronto Archives.
Music on the release party night will be provided by Off The International Radar and The Lollipop People.
