In the classroom, we learn about the problems we face everyday. But the classroom only gives us some of the tools we need to address these problems and to develop solutions that will make a difference.
America needs leaders, and it can’t wait for us to graduate. There are too many problems that need our immediate attention — the rising costs of attending college, increased poverty, and global climate change — and we need to act now to implement the needed solutions.
To make a difference, we must be able to mobilize our fellow students, work with decision makers, generate community support, recruit volunteers, and develop new leaders. Unfortunately, there are few classes on these important skills. The Southwest Student Leadership Conference will provide you with the skills training necessary to make a real impact on your campus and beyond.
At the Southwest Student Leadership Conference, you will have the opportunity to learn from some of the most talented student leaders, professional organizers, and advocates in the country about the issues that affect us every day.
