Southwest Chamber Music Celebrates Women Composers! January 24, 2009

Bring your maps to locate the connections of this vibrant concert. This is a concert of the women and by the women. Violinist Shalini Vijayan and percussionist Lynn Vartan team up for a diverse concert that will celebrate the 80th birthday of Thea Musgrave and the U.S. premiere of an important new work by Korea's Unsuk Chin. Music by Mexico's Gabriela Ortiz and China's Joan Huang make this an evening not to be missed.
