The Southern State Singers, a choral group comprised of both college students and community members, will perform a Winter Concert 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, in the lecture auditorium (Room 107), at Southern State Community College's Central Campus in Hillsboro. The program will last about an hour and there is no charge to attend.
The choir, directed by John M. Glaze and accompanied by Cheryl Porter, will perform a variety of music, including Gloria (Mozart); O My Luve's Like a Red, Red Rose; A Prayer for the Evening; Kyrie (Gilpin); All Flesh is Grass; Come Live With Me and Be My Love; as well as selections from "Phantom of the Opera." Jennie Harner will perform on the flute, and Sharon Higgins will play the cello.
