Southern State COMMUNITY BAND Concert May 17, 2009

The Southern State Community College Community Band will perform 3 p.m. Sunday, May 17, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on the college’s central campus, 100 Hobart Drive, Hillsboro. Admission to the concert is free and will include “A Tribute to Rodgers and Hammerstein” by Calvin Custer, “Aspen Overture” by Christian Earl, “Appalachian Morning” by Robert Sheldon, “Selections from The Sound of Music” by Rodgers and Hammerstein (arranged by Jim Christensen), “Follow the River” by James Swearingen, “Light Cavalry Overture by Suppe and Ployhar, and “Westridge Overture” by James Barnes.
