South Waterfront Sustainability Series event featuring Dr. Eban Goodstein. On May 21st from 6:00-8:00 pm at SWFs Discovery Center, Goodstein, a Professor of Economics at Lewis and Clark College, will offer four things you can do in the next five minutes to save the planet.
Refreshments from sustainable caterer Bamboo Grove Hawaiian Grille will be provided.
Dr. Goodstein is the author of The Trade-off Myth: Fact and Fiction about Jobs and the Environment and Fighting for Love in the Century of Extinction: How Passion and Politics Can Change the Future. The latter will be available for sale at the event.
His current research focuses on global warmings economic impacts, especially in the Pacific Northwest. His work has been featured in Scientific American, The New York Times, The Economist, and USA Today. He was the Project Director for Focus the Nation, a national teach-in held on January 31st, 2008, that channeled energy toward global warming solutions for America.
