South Lake Union Block Party August 7, 2009

On Friday, August 7, South Lake Union is hosting a full day of free outdoor summertime fun and entertainment for all ages at the 5th annual South Lake Union Block Party presented by Microsoft.

Relax in the Seattle sunshine as you enjoy food from several of South Lake Union’s distinctive neighborhood eateries, socialize with friends in the beer garden or go wine tasting, watch local chefs battle it out in a burger grilling competition, entertain kids with fun interactive games and activities, groove to the sounds of local bands on the live music stage, end a perfect day with an outdoor movie under the stars, and more!

This year, proceeds from the event will benefit local nonprofit Immanuel Community Services (ICS), whose mission as South Lake Union’s only food bank is to rekindle hope, nurture community, and transform lives with dignity.
