These October school holidays, Wollongong will come alive with the South Coast Children’s Festival 2011! This interactive festival will be three jam-packed days of amazing theatre, awesome workshops, colourful roving performers and more at Illawarra Performing Arts Centre and Civic Plaza, Wollongong.

Merrigong Theatre Company and Illawarra Children’s Services are proud to co-present this wonderful festival for families from the South Coast and further afield.

The South Coast Children’s Festival has an emphasis on participation. The program features a mix of performances, workshops, experiences and events lead by professional practitioners and artists, and aims to nurture a love for the arts amongst children in a participatory, experience-driven environment. In fact, many of the activities are designed to be a shared experience between children and grown ups. This means that the whole family can learn and explore creative and inspiring activities together.
