South Austin Jug Band May 23, 2008

The South Austin Jug Band includes James Hyland, Warren Hood, Willie Pipken, Matt Slusher and Will Dupuy playing upright bass, fiddle, mandolin and two acoustic guitars -- that's right no drummer. This is a roots-rock, bluegrass, swing band. In the 1960s, Rowan was a member of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys, learning bluegrass at the master's knee. Since then, he has played in various bands and has also achieved a successful solo career.
