All are invited to join us for three evenings of dinner and discussion. The theme of this series is At Risk Youth. Guest speakers will answer the question “Who is at work helping the youth in our community find their way?”
October 21: City of San Jose Gang Task Force Coordinator, Mario Maciel will tell us about the strategies that the San Jose Police Department use with youth gang members, and things they do to keep youth from joining gangs.
October 28: The Rev. Ra Amen, Chaplain at Juvenile Hall and the Rev. Louann Roberts, Chaplain at Elmwood Jail, will discuss how they work with young people who are in jail.
November 4: Judy Whittier of the Bill Wilson Center will talk about their residential youth programs in San Jose and Santa Clara and other programs they run for at-risk youth (www.billwilsoncenter.org).
