Come join the fun ! On February 20, 2010 the Greater Pine Island Elk’s (GPIE) Lodge # 2781 will be hosting a Music Event called “Sounds Like Pine Island” along with a Car & Motorcycle Show-Competition that same day. Local car and motorcycle clubs are encouraged to participate. There will be 20 Trophies Awarded to show vehicles that day. Many car and motorcycle clubs will be there. The “Hot Chili Rods” and “Elk Riders” have already committed to attend and bring their rides, as well as some of the Blue Knights and Chrome Divas. There will be Elk Races, 50/50’s and Meals of BBQ Pork & Chicken available for purchase, along with beverages. Seven local music acts will be donating one set each, so we will have a full day of music and fun, from 11:00 am till the Sun sets. Show off your classic car or motorcycle in a competition on the best island in Lee County, Pine Island. The Elk’s invite you to participate in this fund raising event. All proceeds will benefit Music Students in Lee County, to help defray costs of instruments for promising and deserving students, and the Greater Pine Island Elk’s Charities.
(The GPI Elk’s Charities include, but are not limited to; Veterans Fund for Blinded Veterans, Volunteers of the Ft. Myers VA Clinic, Little League Baseball, Elk’s College Scholarships, PI Elementary Drug Awareness Program, FISH, The Beacon of Hope and The PI Food Pantry.)
A free ticket to the event which includes local musical acts and other activities is provided for each registered vehicle. Twenty Trophies will be awarded. And, we will have other activities to make the event even more fun for you. Tickets for the “Sounds Like Pine Island” music event, Classic Car and Motorcycle Show are $10.00 in Advance and $15.00 at the door. Children under 12 Free. Festival seating, bring your chair!
