Now in it's 10th year, Soulive finally makes their Yoshi's debut. Over the past 10 years, Soulive has covered a lot of ground – musically and literally. The band in the mold of classic guitar-organ-drum trio, has taken that format to new heights. Consistent through all of the different line-ups, though, was the GROOVE – Neal’s club-shaking left hand pounding out bass lines, Alan’s ride propelling the music forward, and Eric’s solos soaring on top. They'll be joined at Yoshi's by a number of special guests including the Shady Hall Horns and vocalist Nigel Hall. The icing on the cake is James Brown's legendary trombonist Fred Wesley who will join the collective in Oakland. In San Francisco they will be joined by one of the fastest rising stars of jazz, trumpeter Roy Hargrove. These are not to be missed gigs!
