DJ Smash:
Often imitated, highly implicated and seriously dedicated (to familia, friends and quality music) DJ Smash's (aka Wayne Hunter) numerous productions and remixes span the musical spectrum from Herbie Hancock and Stevie Wonder to The Pimps Of Joytime, Nappy G. and most recently, San Francisco afro funk masters Pleasure Maker Band. His original productions started in the early 90's on Nu Groove, Instinct, Eightball, New Breed Records and have continued to surf and skate the boundaries of modern danceable music.

Over the years Smash has held down successful residencies with Giant Step and APT and toured extensively around the world.. Bringing it weekly with the best of everything on wax, he has also played host to some of the cream of the international DJ set (Simian (before their Mobile Disco incarnation), Fila Brazilia (their NY debut), Gotan Project (their NY debut), Peanutbutter Wolf, and Marly Marl to name a few.
