Join 88.1 KDHX for a benefit and tribute to the Godfather of Soul, featuring 12 bands, at Off Broadway on Friday, April 30. Soul Brothers and Sisters! A Tribute to James Brown will feature veteran artists like the Soulard Blues Band and the Murder City Players, as well as younger bands like Udi and his Fellow Villagers, the Dawn Weber and Friends, Lamar Harris, DJ Needles and the Soul Alliance featuring CocoSoul. Also on the bill are the Dogtown All Stars, Big Mike Aguirre, Steve Dawson (of Dolly Varden) backed up by members of Rough Shop, and the Funky Butt Brass Band, who will be supporting many of the artists on horns.
