Soroptimist of Twain Harte 9-11 Memorial at Twain Harte Lake September 11, 2011

On Sunday, September 11th, Soroptimist International of Twain Harte will be commemorating the tenth anniversary of the tragic event of 9/11. Beginning at 5:30 PM, the program includes Color Guard, Invocation, Original song by Michael Ludlum, honored guests, Sheriff Jim Mele and Supervisor Evan Royce, 2,792 flowers will be released into the lake honoring each person lost with a water salute from our fire department trucks, followed by Taps. Because of limited parking at the lake there will be a community walk from the Post Office beginning at 4:30. Those not wishing to walk may take the courtesy bus provided by Black Oak Casino from the Post Office to Twain Harte Lake returning from the Lake to the Post Office at approximately 6:15pm.
