About Sorabh Pant:
Sorabh Pant has come a long way from being known as a repeatedly rejected TV anchor. With over 130 stand up shows in 3 years across 12 cities, he’s now one of India’s top comedians, an author, TV writer and a repeatedly rejected TV anchor ([V], Star World, CNBC, Pogo).Fortunately, his lineup of real achievements far outreaches the lineup of hair on his head:In July ’11, Sorabh opened for international star, Wayne Brady (Whose Line Is It Anyway?) across 5 cities, who called him, “the second brilliant Indian comedian I’ve seen after Russell Peters.” He's also toured Dhaka (no, seriously!) and will be following up shows in Dubai (October) and beyond from November onward with the international edition of Pant on Fire. He’s one of just three Indian comedians to hit auditoriums with his solo show, “Pant on Fire” at NCPA, St.Andrews (October) and now, Jagriti. After threatening to release any day for five years, his fantasy novel, “The Wednesday Soul”, will finally be released by Tranquebar (Westland – Tata) this December.
