Sonic Cathedral Presents The New Testament January 13, 2008

Sonic Cathedral opens for worship at The Social on Sunday January 13 for the first of its two special New Testament nights showcasing new bands. Today’s bill is a double-bill of bands from Brooklyn’s excellent Social Registry label: jazzy, dubby Krautrock instrumentalists ARTANKER CONVOY – formed by one-time James Murphy cohort Arthur Owens – and the dark but beautiful sounds of the London-based SIAN ALICE GROUP, whose debut album ‘59.59’ is released in February. Special guest DJ for the evening is Spiritualized and Spring Heel Jack man JOHN COXON.
