Songwriter/guitarist Angela Rose belts her sweet and sultry tunes of damsels in their bliss and distress in a warbling vibrato often compared to Iris Dement and Dolly Parton.
Gwyneth's music is packed full of accordions, pennywhistles, pianos, electric guitars, dobros and synthesizers, fusing together these seemingly disparate elements into a blend of pop and folk, with a bit of country here, a bit of rockabilly there, and a trace of Cajun or Irish music over yonder. Her debut album "Wishbone" is due out in may-keep checking in! As well as pursuing a solo act, Gwyneth is currently a member of Foxglove(brother/sister harmonies-folk/newgrass) and plays frequently with the Blushin' Roulettes(california country/americana). check out their sites down below in the top friends! Gwyneth has also played with other bands El paso chapel(osage orange) and the Kerosene Kondors.
A San Francisco Bay Area native, Michael McNevin started his career with a six-month stint in New York City, cutting his troubadour teeth in the subways and streets of Greenwich Village. Now a veteran of the folk scene, Michael has logged 15 years of concerts across the U.S., and he's been a main stager at some of the bigger music festivals around, including the Strawberry, Kerrville, and Philadelphia folk festivals. He's been billed in clubs and halls with the likes of Johnny Cash, Shawn Colvin, Donovan, and 100s of others on the songwriter circuit. He has a seasoned voice, accomplished steel string guitar work, and some wonderful tour adventures. Michael is known for a distinct and vivid brand of storytelling in his lyrics. He is a past winner of the Kerrville New-folk award in Texas, a 5-time winner of the West Coast Songwriters Association "Song Of The Year", was chosen by Performing Songwriter Magazine as a Top 12 “DIY Artist Of The Year", and was nominated for "Artist Of The Year" by the National Academy Of Songwriters. With 5 CDs under his belt, he is now in the studio recording his sixth effort, tentatively titled "Kickin’ Tires". The CD is scheduled for release this winter, with concert tours through 2009. Tracks include 'Broom' (West Coast Songwriters 'Song Of The Year'), 'Phoenixville', 'Pioneer Shindig, & '60 Years Of Sand'. Two of the new tracks - 'This Town Is Gonna Change' & 'I Shot Broncho Billy' - are also heard in “Weekend King”, an indie film due out in 2009. Michael has five songs in the film, and a cameo role as a broke and lovesick bartender who sings in the corner between drinks. In addition, Michael is an Etch A Sketch artist of some renown, delighting and dumbfounding audiences with his song illustrations on the little red toy. His music and art have been featured on CBS "Evening Magazine", numerous news and entertainment segments on NBC, ABC, & Fox, and in dozens of magazine and newspaper articles, with extended shows in several art galleries, a Fifth Avenue window display, and at the Baseball Hall Of Fame in Cooperstown, NY.
