Five fabulous performers. One heckuva a great time. Join us for an evening of virtuoso musicians with distinct styles that complement each other. The show will consist of brief sets by each songwriter, followed by the friendly and informal 'in-the-round' trading of songs and riffs.
Claudia Russell's eclectic folk music contains traces of all her musical loves--blues, western swing, rock and count,. drawing from original compositions, obscure gems, folk and pop classics and contributions from her many talented friends. Russell quickly wins audiences with her powerful voice and signature guitar voicings.
Stevie Coyle fingerstyle guitar star, co-founded whiz-bang band, The Waybacks in 1999 and fronted that band thru 2007. Stevie's gone feral and solo now. He's busily booking festivals, venues and house concerts. He's also released his first solo CD, Ten-In-One, produced by guitar guru Walter Strauss.
Rachel Garlin is a singer-songwriter whose character-filled songs tell the stories she has collected in her life as a teacher and traveling troubadour. Her four records feature songs noted for vivid, lyrical imagery.
Teresa Tudury has a deep, sultry voice that magnetizes audiences, and a scathing comedic wit to match. She pours out her original songs with power, verve, passion, and disarming humor. Her voice, described as a cross between Bette Midler and Bonnie Raitt, is perfectly complemented by her bluesy guitar playing.
When Steve Meckfessel fires up his Collings slope-shouldered dreadnaught guitar with its sunburst tobacco finish, people turn and listen. With its evocative chord progressions, haunting melodies and unadorned lyrics, Steve's music reminds us of what we may have given up for lost. With his music described as "jazz inflected, urban folk, this singer and original song writer will pick and sing his way into your heart.
