Songfight! LIVE HOT & BOTHERED June 17, 2004

ONCE A YEAR, contestants from the website SongFight.org take their musical battles from the Internet to the stage. On June 18th and 19th , the site?s cult following will descend upon Austin?s Church of the Friendly Ghost at 209 Pedernales Street for SongFight Live! 2004: Hot and Bothered. SongFight! attracts home recording artists from around the world who represent genres ranging from straight-up rock to man-and-guitar folk, nerdcore hip-hop to inventive electronica. Twenty bands will play half-hour sets, including Octothorpe, Frankie Big Face, ADD, 15-16 Puzzle, Brother Machine, and Ken?s Super Duper Band n? Stuff. The concerts will start at 5:00 P.M. each night, and last until 10:00 P.M. Friday and 8:00 P.M. Saturday. From 8:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. on Saturday will be the BIG EVENT. Each attending artist will debut a song written for the title announced for the event and then the audience will VOTE for their favorite song.
