Internationally acclaimed baritone Thomas Hampson will perform selections from his “Song of America” collection, a program he has been touring across the country in collaboration with the Library of Congress. The recital features music by Bernstein, Copland, Foster, Ives, Still and other American composers. Mr. Hampson is joined by pianist Vlad Iftinca.
A recitalist, opera singer, and recording artist, Hampson has performed in the world’s most important concert halls and opera houses with numerous renowned singers, pianists, conductors and orchestras. He is one of the most respected, innovative and sought-after soloists with The New York Times praising his “ceaseless curiosity.” Performances in 2011-12 include appearances at San Francisco, Zurich, New York and Berlin’s Deutsche opera houses.
