Told through 16 pairs of shoes, SOMEONE'S SOMEBODY is adapted from the December 2005, Los Angeles Times Column One article: “Memories Shrouded in Doubt”. At 11-years old, Regina Louise, denied the right to belong to a family, made a pact with God, then set out on her own to find a place to call home. In 1976, an adoption petition was over-ruled, filed on her behalf by a counselor who worked at the orphanage. Regina Louise is black. The woman who wanted to be her mother is white.
