Join one of the largest Earth Day events in the country: SOLV IT

Join SOLV and thousands of other volunteers across the Portland area on Saturday, April 19th from 9 am to 1 pm for SOLV IT, one of the largest Earth Day events in the nation. This year we have over 100 project sites in the Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington, Columbia, and Yamhill counties. Activities include illegal dumpsite cleanup, watershed restoration, invasive plant removal, litter removal, and neighborhood beautification.

Last year, over 4,000 volunteers came together and recycled or disposed of over 442,000 pounds of litter, mixed waste, green waste, tires, scrap metal and invasive plants and planted 1,700 trees, shrubs, and native plants. This year, on April 19th, we hope to surpass these numbers. Volunteer with SOLV and come to do your part in giving back to the Earth and celebrating all that it provides us. For more information, and to register go to http://www.solv.org/programs/solv_it.asp, or contact Brett Lyon at 503-844-9571 or brett@solv.org.
