Sofia Koutsovitis, Andrea Tierra Quartet November 20, 2007

Vocalist Sofia Koutsovitis belongs to a new generation of musicians who imaginatively explore the connection between jazz and contemporary music and the rich musical traditions of South America.

Andrea Tierra grew up in Medellin, Colombia in a family of performing artists. She sings an eclectic variety of contemporary Latin songs including romantic ballads and socially conscious 'Nueva Generacion' tunes in a warm, vibrant contralto.
