Ever wondered why the Caribbean waters are so beautifully blue? Or why coral reefs are known as the “rainforest of the sea”? John Myers, Deputy Director of The Nature Conservancy’s Caribbean Program, might have just the answers for you. We all know and love those dream beach vacation sites, but what are we doing to protect them? Come out and mingle with the next generation of conservation supporters as we hear a little more about what The Nature Conservancy is doing to keep waters pristine and beaches protected. MoCo’s Founding Farmers, one of D.C.’s farm-to-table restaurants and the winner of the Nature’s Plate Award for 2012, will host the event. Light appetizers will be provided. Register now to reserve your space! Send in your RSVP to getoutside@tnc.org.
