Lynn McDonald will address how our political and social (including
economic) lives prevent us from dealing adequately with today's climate
crisis, to begin the process of altering those institutions to
facilitate the required strenuous action.
Lynn has published extensively on environmental and political
sociology, classical sociological theory, and the status of women. She
has also pursued a political career, serving as an Member of Parliament
and environment critic (1982-1988), and is a former president of the
National Action Committee on the Status of Women.
