Social Canvas 2009 June 14, 2009

Join us for a day of music, art and creativity at the Social Canvas 2009. This event has been a semiannual happening in Augusta for the last couple of years and it is family friendly and FREE!
Social Canvas 2009 features three live bands: Eat Lightning, Dem Imonde, and The Favors; special guest DJs; art demos by Jay Jacobs, Leonard Zimmerman, Jason Craig, and Ryan Davis; a community canvas; and creative stations: Chalk the Walk, Tie Dye Markers, and Ceramic Demos. Inside, tour the Morris Museum of Art galleries, including the special exhibitions Stories to Tell, Memories to Keep: Folk Art in the South and Southern Eccentric: Paintings by Larry Connatser, or sketch in the galleries with informal instruction provided by professional artist Rosanne Stutts. All admission, including entrance to the Morris Museum, is free.
