Soulful, smoky vocals, instrumental virtuosity, stylistic flexibility, and give-it-all-away energy are the trademarks of Dirty Blonde, and lead singer Cheryl Aruda. Guitarist Wendy Sobel makes it a female foursome, joining the rhythm section of Sue Goldberg on Bass and Diane Gately on Drums as they back up the groov-a-licious Aruda with style and more than enough substance to go around. With updated classic soul, gritty blues and blues-inspired rock tunes on the menu, plus original songs from Cheryl’s upcoming CD, the evening is sure to be a fitting cap-off to a great year in music at Smoken’ Joes, and a heady taste of things to come in 2011!
