Boston-based Rainbow Tribe, Inc. will present its 9th annual dance concert entitled Smoke and Mirrors. The performance plays with illusions and challenges audience members to question reality. Through stunning moments of visual trickery, Smoke and Mirrors fuses a gritty storyline with the forward-thinking choreography audiences have come to expect from Tribe, Bside and Embrace.

WHO: Tribe, The Dance Company, Bside and Embrace, three Boston-based dance companies. Tribe, The Dance Company is comprised of male and female dancers from all walks of life including professionals, students, entrepreneurs and seasoned dance and fitness veterans. Bside is an all-male dance company that specializes in hip hop and break dancing. Embrace is an all-female jazz dance company that develops and delivers performances with strength, femininity and individualism.

WHAT: Tickets are on sale now for its 2011 Annual Concert: Smoke and Mirrors. Rainbow Tribe, Inc. presents premiere works by Artistic Director Mary Mazzulli and select company members.

WHEN: Friday, March 18, 2011 at 8 p.m., and Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 for students, children 12 and under, seniors and BDA members. Tickets are available through the BU Box office (617-358-2500), at the door, or through Tribe, Bside and Embrace members.
