Yarn Connections
Featuring the Work of Ana Maria Hernando
SmART Brunch Sundays provide creative time for families to explore the Museum, talk about art and engage with MCA DENVER's education staff and docents. On February 1st, families will work with the current Artist-in-Residence Ana Maria Hernando to explore the weaving techniques of the women and girls of Mollamarca— a small town in Peru—through her exhibition in the Project Gallery. Children will learn to finger crochet with colorful yarn to create scarves, bracelets, necklaces and more.
Open to children ages 7-13 with an adult companion. Participation fee includes general admissions, tour, activity and light brunch.
