2008 Small Business Resource Fair!
It's that time again! The 3rd annual Small Business Resource Fair is coming up here at the Main Library just one month from today, on Thursday, March 13th from 10 A.M. to 3:30 P.M. The Fair is a free conference for small business owners or anyone interested in starting their own business. I believe that the Fair is a great opportunity for entrepreneurs to meet the folks who provide the best free or low-cost small business help in town. This year's activities will include:
An Exhibit Hall where representatives of fifteen local small business assistance programs will be available to explain their services. The Exhibit Hall will be open from 10-1:30.
SCORE Counseling will be available on a first-come, first-served basis during the Fair from 10-2.
Business Center Tours, presented by the Reference Department.
"OSMBA: Minority Business Assistance," presented by Margaret Woodson, Director of the Governor's Office of Small and Minority Business Assistance.
"Using the Web to Enhance Your Small Business," presented by Richard Dowell, Adjunct Professor of Information Technology, The Citadel
"Awesome Business Research Anytime!" presented by the Reference Department of the Charleston County Public Library.
"Marketing on a Shoestring Budget," presented by Chris Stum, Business Development Consultant at Only.sc. http://www.only.sc
Did I mention how much it costs to attend? Yes, I said it was FREE! We here at the Library are proud to be able to offer the only free program of this kind in our area.
