Almond will host a Slow Food Dinner “A Celebration of Goat from Lynnehaven Farms Goat, Pine Bush, NY” on Sunday, April 11th at 6:30 p.m. The meal will feature five courses with goat and goat products integrated into each course. Local wines will be paired with the meal. Cost is $60 for Slow Food members and $70 for non-members, excluding tax and gratuity. The cost includes a donation to Slow Food East End school projects. The menu will be as follows:
First Course
Scotch Broth with faro and leeks
Second Course
Goat Cheese Crostini with warm beets, pistachios and balsamic vinegar
Third Course
Malfatti with spinach and goat’s milk ricotta gnocchi and crispy sage
Fourth Course
Moist Roasted Goat with shellbean ragout, arugula pesto and fregola
Dessert
Goat Yogurt Panna Cotta with strawberries and black pepper
