Slow Dinners @ Slow Food Nation August 28, 2008

With a 50,000 square-foot Taste pavilion, music festival, workshops, films, hikes and journeys to choose from, Slow Food Nation has something for everyone who'll be in the SF Bay Area over Labor Day Weekend.

What I'm personally excited about are the 45+ slow dinners being planned by some of the best Bay Area eateries renowned for good, clean and fair food. Each Slow Dinner will feature a different local non-profit organizations focused on building healthy communities. Prices for dinners range from under $50 to $250, and most include a multi-course prix fixe menu with wine.
Not only will guests have an impeccable dining experience carefully crafted by some of the top chefs in the world, but they will have the rare opportunity to share mealtime conversation with farmers and food artisans, community and political leaders, environmental advocates, health-care experts and other guests from around the Bay Area and the world.
