SLO Blues Society presents JANIVA MAGNESS March 28, 2009

The Los Angeles Daily News writes that Janiva Magness is "A superb, powerhouse R&B singer who delivers blues and soul with show-stopping authority." Nominated for four Blues awards for 2009: Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year, Contemporary Blues Album of the Year, Album of the Year, and B.B. King Entertainer of the Year. Winner of the 2006 and 2007 Blues Music Awards for Best Contemporary Female Artist Of The Year. You won't want to miss this event!

The show starts at 8:00 pm at the SLO Vets Hall, 801 Grand Avenue in San Luis Obispo. SLO Dance is offering free dance lessons from 7:30 - 8:00 pm. Tickets are $17 for Blues Society members and $20 for the general public. All tickets are sold at the door. 21 and over, please.
