In more than one hundred stunning color photos, world-renowned photographer David Muench captures New Mexico’s history and deep cultural roots, the magical quality of light in our state, and its breathtakingly beautiful landscape. Images include a kaleidoscope of hot air balloons floating in a vividly blue sky, the virgin white ski slopes of Taos, and the haunting ruins of the Spanish missions, among many others. In Plateau Light, landscapes of the Colorado Plateau are accompanied by excerpts from Muench’s photojournal, and in Arizona, he shows our neighbor state’s trademark red rock, desert sands, and wildflowers.
