WHAT: First Annual Golf Tournament
Proceeds from the fund raising Golf Tournament to benefit the Sleeping Giant Build home building efforts. $125 per golfer (contributions are partially tax deductible) includes: greens fees, lunch, refreshments on the course (including beer), prizes and dinner (b.y.o.b.).

Hole-in-one-contest: If a golfer hits a hole-in-shot at the designated hole they will win a free two year lease on a Mazda Miata convertible sponsored by Partyka Chevrolet on Skiff Street in Hamden, CT. (certain restrictions apply)

Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven helps to provide decent, safe, and affordable housing for low-income residents in New Haven County thereby promoting a healthy neighborhood environment for community residents. In the autumn of 2007 Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven dedicated its 51st house and there are 3 additional houses under construction.

About Sleeping Giant Build
Founded in 2007, Sleeping Giant Build is a community based organization partnering with local businesses, religious and civic groups, individuals and families in need of affordable housing in the greater New Haven area. Through volunteer labor and donations of money and materials, Habitat builds and rehabilitates simple, decent houses with the help of the homeowner (partner) families. Habitat houses are sold to partner families at no profit and financed with affordable loans. The homeowners’ monthly mortgage payments are used to build still more Habitat houses.
