Considered by many to be the one of the greatest hip hop producers of all-time, DJ Premier has had a hand some of hip hops most prolific hits. He was the musical mastermind behind Nas’ “N.Y. State of Mind”, Rakim’s "When I Be On Tha Mic”, The Notorious B.I.G’s "Ten Crack Commandments, KRS-One’s "MC's Act Like They Don't Know", Jay-Z’s "Million & One Questions”, M.O.P.’s "New Jack City”, Mos Def’s "Mathematics", Dilated Peoples "Clockwork", Snoop Dogg’s "The One & Only", Fat Joe’s "The Shit Is Real”, and the list goes on. But perhaps his greatest contribution to the rap game was working the decks as one-half of the hip hop duo Gang Starr. Nobody lays down the game like Premier.
