The Department of History of Art and Architecture, TCD and TRIARC (The Irish Art Research Centre in TCD) present a preview of Sydney Pollack?s first feature length documentary ?Sketches of Frank Gehry?. Pollack and Gehry are old friends and the film has been five years in the making.

The film director Sydney Pollack ('Out of Africa', 'Tootsie', 'The Way we Were', 'They Shoot Horses, Don't They?', etc) has made his first feature length documentary, 'Sketches of Frank Gehry'. Pollack and Gehry are old friends, and the film has been five years in the making.
It has been accepted as an official selection at the Cannes Film Festival later this month, and is due for release in cinemas in the US on 12 May. The producer, Ultan Guilfoyle (a graduate of this department) has offered a preview in Trinity on Monday 8 May in the Edmund Burke Theatre, Arts Building, at 20h00. Entry will be free.
