Friends of the Encinitas Library First Sunday Music Series for March
Sunday, March 1, 2009 • 2:00pm
One of the nation's most sought after Irish-influenced bands, Skelpin' (Gaelic for a loving slap, spank), has been known to drive audiences to uncontrollable bouts of foot twitching and hand clapping. Skelpin' performs lyrical Irish music fused with the passions of Spain, rhythms of the Middle East, and American romantic soul. Skelpin' has performed at venues ranging from Tokyo to Ashford Castle, Vancouver to Veracruz, and Las Vegas, of course. We've shared the stage with: The Chieftains, Matt Hensley (Flogging Molly), Danu, the Young Dubliners, Seven Nations, and Solas.
