Skanktt play a high energy blend of alternative-ska that hints of the likes of The Specials and The Clash music that pulls people to the dance floor. Latest relelease ‘ Thieves Operate In This Area'. ‘SKANKt play punky-funky, skanky ska with shedloads of energy and verve that demands dancefloor action and explores the rich vein of jerky grooves founded in Jamaica and heisted to great effect by The Specials, Sublime and even The Clash. It's a wicked mash-up of styles, sounds and tunes. From the rapid-fire brass led title track to the easy ska plus bonecrunching guitar riffage displayed in 'Disclaimer' or the fuller but still skanked up 'The Art of Self-Destruction'. 'Star-Shaped' swirls and jumps into a more funked-up reggae groove which is easy on the ear and livelys up the feet.
