Litcrawl reading with authors including Daphne Gottlieb and Katia Noyes. Hosted by the notorious Madison Young, curator of Sizzle at Femina Potens gallery.
Litcrawl is the closing event of Litquake. It is a literary pub crawl through the Mission district.
"It grows to 44 venues in 2008. And this year Clarion Alley will be closed off both for readings from Litquake authors as well as well as a performance and open mic space. Bucky Sinister, Beth Lisick, and Tarin Towers will take turns as emcee and will periodically select members of the crowd who signed up for the opportunity, to seize the moment by doing a reading or performing spoken word.
You can expect all kinds of firsts from this year’s Crawl, including South Indian-American readings at the Bollywood Café, a 6-word memoir poetry slam, a Rumi-A-Thon, and Unfit to Print: Writers Read Lost Scenes from Unpublished Writing That Lived Fast, Died Young, and Left a Beautiful Corpse, where authors will read scenes that never made it to readers’ eyes."
