Six Sigma and DMAIC: The Fundamentals October 15, 2009

This session will give you an introduction to the fundamentals of Six Sigma, which is a systematic problem solving approach for improving business performance. Driven by data, it applies proven techniques to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and cut costs. Thousands of companies around the world have discovered the far reaching benefits of Six Sigma and have enjoyed huge savings as a result of implementing it.

At the heart of Six Sigma is the DMAIC improvement cycle with its five steps: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control. Each step will be examined and you’ll learn to apply the common tools used in each step. You will also learn to apply the DMAIC cycle for a typical Six Sigma project. The session will be a great opportunity for participants to bring their own project from their workplace and apply what they learn.
