Sit+Sip Home Accessories Swap:
A new way to shop for your home
We were all hoping the shrinking economy was a short-term thing, but now we know it's not. Our economic lives are changing and we are all needing to be more creative with what we have, as well as what we need. That's why the Home Accessories Swap is here to stay.
Let's face it, wanting new pillows, artwork, candleholders, etc. to freshen up your home will never stop. But how you get those "new" decor items can be less expensive and more resourceful - like swapping the ones you're just over for cool items from someone else's stylish house.
Come SWAP instead of shop at Sit+Sip's Spring Home Accessories Swap!
So as you're doing your spring-cleaning, set aside those items you would love to exchange and start making a list of the new items you would like to replace them with. A list of Acceptable and Non-Acceptable items can be found on the Sit+Sip website.
"We've been amazed to see the variety of beautiful and interesting items brought to each swap from martini shakers, lamp shades, funky knick-knacks, and beautiful bowls to Persian rugs and Rocco relief sculptures" said interior designer Piper Lauri Salogga, co-host of Sit+Sip. "You just never know what treasure you're going to find!" agrees Sara Eizen, the creative inspiration behind this alternative home shopping exchange.
$10 regular registration in advance, $20 VIP registration in advance guarantees swapping in the first round (30 spots available); $15 at the door; 3-item minimum to participate. First to RSVP, First to Swap so RSVP NOW at sitsip.com/events_upcoming.html.
All items left at the end of the swap will be taken to Seattle Children's Hospital Thrift Stores.
