In 3 Simple Steps, YOU can CHANGE the World
1. Take A Stand. Burnout doesn't bring change. Real change begins when the people that work for social change lead healthy, sustainable lives. We know that with more inner awareness comes greater balance, compassion and presence, and working together, agents of social change become more effective in creating a more just, equitable society for all. Commit to the movement for transformative social change. Register online as an individual, team, organization or supporter
2. Raise awareness about the power of inner change to affect social change. Spread the word and get pledge support from your family, friends, colleagues and community. Raise pledges from $5 to $500 to support a vision for the future and your commitment to real change.
3. Gandhi said it best: BE the Change. On September 19th, 2009, in conjunction with the International Day of Peace, YOU join with people, organizations and communities across the nation, locally or virtually, in the movement for real change. No matter where you are, you can make a difference. Find an Inner Change Event near you or SIT for Change wherever you are.
Proceeds of SIT for Change benefit the Transformative Change Fund. Often the very same individuals that wish to explore or deepen the relationship between inner awareness and social transformation are the ones that cannot afford to. The Fund supports national low and no-cost inner awareness programs, including meditation and yoga, to encourage and empower individuals doing work to change the world to lead more balanced, compassionate, sustainable lives. The Fund is housed within Center for Transformative Change, a 501c3, nonprofit organization.
