Sister Mary, a life-long teaching nun, lectures you, her audience, on life and sin in all its various forms. Her class is interrupted by several former students, none of whom is very happy about how the good Sister's teachings have helped them cope with life's difficulties. In the curtain-raising play nebbish George Spelvin finds himself unaccountably on stage in the middle of a series of classic plays, including private lives and hamlet, surrounded by some of history's most famous actors.
