"Singles Night A Hit at Dudley's!!" September 8, 2010

Stop in this Thursday for a fun SINGLES NIGHT WINE TASTING! More and more couples are meeting at Dudley's! We had some good fun crowds the last couple of weeks and I hope we'll have more this Thursday! We'll begin by tasting an Italian version of a Greco-based wine, and although the ancient Greco grape is originally from Greece (thus the name), it is also quite popular in Italy. We'll taste Greco along side a lighter but more familiar Pinot Grigio, to give us perspective on the Greco's unique flavor characteristics. Another interesting wine we'll learn about tonight is Chinon, of the LoireValley in France. This is a light and interesting red wine, and it is important for the world wine lover to have some familiarity with it. We'll also taste more familiar wines tonight, including a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and a 90 point Shiraz from Australia to round things out. I'll also teach you a couple of new things about both Shiraz and Cab I'll bet you never knew! For fun, I'll even share with you a few stories about my night harvesting expedition at Calloway Winery late last night (if my back's not hurting too much!)! At Dudley's, tasting and learning about wine can be a hoot! And if you're married, you are still welcome...bring a single friend and YOU GET HALF OFF YOUR WINE TASTING! (Be sure to tell us when you pay!) And in case you're shy, Eric & Sharon will introduce everyone at the bar to everyone so you don't have to!
