Explore different restaurants each month while getting to know other singles in the age group of your choice . . . so even if there's no love connection you'll still have a wonderful time. You'll order off the menu and receive separate checks for your purchases. Our website allows you to view the profiles of those registered for each dinner, tracks who you've dined with so you meet new people every time, and then let's you send a private message to those you've dined with afterward.
For current space availability, to see who's going, and to register please visit our website at www.TastyBoston.net.
Please register early. Schedules are announced three to six weeks in advance, seats are filled on a first come first filled basis, and dinners close three to seven days in advance. Occasionally, space opens up last minute, but this cannot be relied upon, so register early for best results.
This week join us at The Butcher Shop:
"At Barbara Lynch’s French-Italian vino bar/butcher shop, South Enders jockey for “spots at the butcher block” or small tables for “high-quality”, “carefully prepared” meats and cheeses served by “passionate”, “knowledgeable” servers; the chance to get their “socks rocked” by an “ever-changing” selection of “interesting” wines gets them to “come back frequently”, even though there’s often a “wait” and the eats are “priced like entrees and sized like canapés.”" - Zagat.com
"The Butcher Shop is exactly what it purports to be by day; by night, it's an unpretentious yet somehow haute charcuterie and wine bar installed in the heart of the South End. Its appeal lies in its handsome simplicity. A half-dozen stools line the bar; a blackboard lists daily wine specials; a bar-length wooden butcher's block sits in the back for tastings, where fresh-made salamis, forcemeats, cured hams and pâtés hang in glass cases. The menu is tiny but strong in every sense, from the chunky, country-style pâtés to the “hot dogs,” a modest misnomer for these fresh pork sausages. Meanwhile, a wine list of regional French finds wanders dreamily on. And come sunset, an urbane crowd just goes with its flow." - Gayot.com
