There aren't many formal reviews of this restaurant but it comes highly recommended by many we've spoken to as a local favorite. It's a low-key french bistro, with fabulous filet mignon, across the street from a couple of fun places to get a drink after, and 1/2 a block from the beach boardwalk. There's a beach lot to park in for $5.

"Just a stone's throw from the water (the Venice Boardwalk is just a building away), 12 Washington is a great place for starting the evening with a French dinner and then a walk on the beach. This more of a couple's place, so don't think about bringing the kids." - Metromix.com
