Singer/songwriters-in-a-row June 3, 2011

In cooperation with Ukiah Players Theater, Mendocino Stories & Music Series presents its first Singer/Songwriter Showcase in Ukiah on Friday, June 3. Patrick Nagel, Rose Knight and Mike Ehlers will perform original songs, taking turns in-a-row. Music starts at 7:30PM at the Ukiah Playhouse, 1041 Low Gap Rd, Ukiah.

Patrick Nagel is truly a noteworthy local talent. His songs are a wealth of acoustic warmth and heartfelt lyrics. Rose Knight started out singing in Los Angeles at the age of five, opening shows for her mother. She started writing her own music at 14 with a more alternative rock edge. Acoustic music that covers a lot of territory, Mike Ehlers moves from pop to mellow grooves, from story-folk-with-a-punch to ballads born in the depths of a quieted gratitude.
