Singapore Arts Festival 2011: Flip Book May 16, 2011

An interpretation of dance great Merce Cunningham’s work, Flip Book showcases his creative methodology through a collective look on all his projects. Director Boris Charmatz, one of the enfant terrible of the contemporary arts world in France, conceived Flip Book after sifting through photographs of Cunningham’s projects over the years. An inspiring look from a unique angle at Cunningham’s life and work.
Boris Charmatz is currently the director at the Centre chorégraphique national de Rennes et de Bretagne which he transformed into a Musée de la danse – Dancing Museum.
